Glazed Eel with Pickled Beansprouts and Soft-Boiled Quail Egg
I had never hear of this Australian fusion restaurant before my friend Kurt recommended that I try its wine bar, The Monday Room. However, after a wonderful experience punctuated by dish after dish of truly innovative and simply exciting food, I am of the opinion that the Michelin Star it just earned was long overdue. After all, whose heart doesn’t start beating faster when chewing happily on Fried Barron Point Oysters with Shiso or when ingredients like snail and oxtail are combined with absolute lip-smacking perfection in dishes like Snail and Oxail Ravioli with Pickled Shiitake Mushrooms, Oven-Dried Tomatosm, Pea Shoots and Smoked Paprika Oil?
